Eligibility Criteria

Excellent performance in the graduate program (top 10% of the graduate program = grade A).

If you are already registered at ETH Zurich or have completed the master’s program, you are not eligible for the ESOP.

Coverage of ETH Zurich Scholarships 2025

The Excellence Scholarship/ESOP includes a tuition fee waiver and a living and study allowance (CHF 12,000 per week). School exemption is granted for the duration of the master’s study, three or four semesters.
Only ETH students are eligible to participate in this program.
Required Documents
In addition to the documents required for master’s admission, you must submit an initial request for your master’s essay.
You should write the previous application using expert citation methods.
Plagiarism or false information will result in disqualification from the admission process or, if discovered later, disqualification of admission and any scholarship.
If your application does not require references, please provide two professors as references for your ESOP application.
