The Royal Thai Government Scholarship 2025 non-binding funded Master’s and PhD scholarships to applicants who have outstanding academic records. These Thai scholarships are managed by the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and are offered to students from Thailand and other Asian nations. Through these scholarships, students from all around Asia will be able to study and collaborate on research projects in an international setting.

The Government of Thailand is offering three funded scholarships for Asian students including “his Majesty the King’s Scholarships for Doctoral and Master’s programs”, “Her Majesty the Queen’s Scholarships for Master’s program”, and “Loom Nam Khong Pijai (GMS Scholarships) for Master’s Programs”. The Loom Nam Scholarships aim to support human resources development in academic programs related to Infrastructure Development, Energy Technology, Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Development, and Environmental Engineering and Management.

Eligibility Criteria

The Prince’s Scholarships for Master’s Programs are awarded to outstanding students from Asian countries to study the academic programs offered at the School of Engineering and Technology ( SET) and School of Management (SOM). to ).
Her Majesty the Queen’s Scholarships for Master’s programs are offered to excellent undergraduate students from any Asian country to study the environmental-related programs which are offered at the School of Environment, Resources, and Development (SERD).
Bhutan, Laos PDR and Timor-Leste, ASEAN countries and other Asian countries are priority countries which are supported by Government of Thailand.
Candidates should have an outstanding academic record in Undergraduate Program (4 years) and Master’s Program (2 years) from a recognized university in relevant fields.
The GPA of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree should be ≥ 3.5.
Applicants should have English language proficiency, IELTS 6.0 (Overall and Writing bands).
The Loom Nam Scholarships is available to students in 6 GMS countries including Cambodia, Southern Part of China: Yunnan and Guangxi provinces, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand for 22 months.

Coverage of Royal Thai Government Scholarship 2025

Queen’s Scholarship (PhD): Covers tuition fees, registration fees, accommodation and living expenses for a 7-semester PhD course. Her Majesty’s scholarship program (master’s): Covers tuition, accommodation and living expenses for the master’s programme.
Queen’s Scholarship: Available for Master’s programs related to environmental fields.
