Why MSIF McDonald Fellowship?
The goal of the McDonald Fellowship 2024 is to help people have a greater awareness of the many forms of MS, as well as its causes, symptoms, and other advanced information. Also, the obstacles to better MS care and treatment are manifold, intricate, and country-specific. While some of these challenges are localized, the global community requires a practical and long-term solution to this problem. In order to do this, MSIF is working with national MS organizations to create a thorough action plan that addresses issues related to MS healthcare.
Similarly, the mission statement of MSIF, which states that everyone should collaborate to improve the quality of life for everyone afflicted by MS, goes hand in hand with the possibility for worldwide research initiatives. Further, the MSIF is based on five fundamental goals that it intends to achieve in the next years and a positive change in attitudes, laws, and practices is the first. However, choosing with confidence and knowledge is the second stage and improved scientific understanding and treatments represent the third phase.
In addition, improving access to care and healthcare is the fourth objective and building a more robust and diversified MSIF movement is the sixth objective. In order to accomplish these objectives, MSIF has built a sophisticated system, filled in the gaps in the global research workforce, created methods for tracking the impact of research, increased funding for MS research, strengthened MS organizations, and established other pertinent networks.
